- EL1881 sync separator - EL1881 is an improved version of popular LM1881 sync separator IC. The EL1881 video sync separator extracts sync timing information from both standard and non-standard video input. It provides composite sync, vertical sync, burst/back porch timing, and odd/even field detection. Fixed 70mV sync tip slicing provides sync edge detection when the video input level is between 0.5VP-P and -2VP-P (sync tip amplitude 143mV to 572mV). A single external resistor sets all internal timing to adjust for various video standards. Rate this link
- EL4581C sync separator - The EL4581 extracts timing information from standard negative going video sync found in NTSC, PAL, and SECAM broadcast systems. It can also be used in non standard formats and with computer graphics systems at higher scan rates, by adjusting a single external resistor. The EL4581 provides a reliable method of determining correct sync slide level by setting it to the mid-point between sync tip and blanking level at the back porch. This IC can be considered as an improved version of popular LM1881. Rate this link
- EL4583 video sync separator - The EL4583 extracts timing from video sync in NTSC, PAL, and SECAM systems, and non standard formats, or from computer graphics operating at higher scan rates. Timing adjustment is via an external resistor. Input without valid vertical interval (no serration pulses) produces a default vertical output. This IC is manufactured by intersil. Rate this link

Sync separators
Sync separator ICs are need to get separate sync signals out of the composite video or composite sync signals. Most typical application is to extract timing information from standard negative going video sync found in NTSC, PAL, and SECAM broadcast systems. This kind of ICs are also used in non standard formats and with computer graphics systems at higher scan rates in applications where the video source gives a compoiste sync signal (eother on separate wire or embedded into the color video components) but rest of the monitor electronics neeed separare vertical and horizontal syncs.
